How much does Daraz take from each sale?
When you sell on Daraz Pakistan, the price the customer pays is not what reaches your bank. Daraz deducts a commission that depends on the category, a 2.25% payment fee, a small handling fee per item, sales tax on those fees and — since July 2025 — income tax withholding of 1% or 2%. This Daraz fee calculator adds all of them up, shows exactly what Daraz will pay you and tells you the price you need for the profit you want.

Worked example
A phone case sold for Rs 1,500 in Mobile Accessories (12.9%): commission Rs 194, payment fee Rs 34, handling fee Rs 20, sales tax at 15% on these fees Rs 37 and income tax Rs 27 (with 80% cash on delivery). Daraz pays you about Rs 1,189. With a product cost of Rs 700 and Rs 40 packaging, your profit is about Rs 449 per order — a 30% margin.
How to set the right price on Daraz
- Start from your full cost: product cost plus packaging, and shipping if you offer free delivery.
- Choose your profit: type the rupees or the margin you want in “What price should I set?” — the calculator works backwards through every fee and tax.
- Check the competition: if the price you need is far above similar listings, look for a cheaper supplier, a bundle or a higher-value variant.
- Leave room for campaigns: 11.11, 12.12 and other mega sales usually need a voucher or discount — test it in the calculator before you join.
Ways to keep more of each sale
- Watch the Rs 2,000 line. The handling fee jumps from Rs 20 to Rs 60 just above Rs 2,000, so Rs 1,999 often beats Rs 2,050.
- Encourage online payment. Income tax withholding is 1% on prepaid orders and 2% on cash on delivery.
- Bundle low-priced items. Fixed fees hurt most on cheap products — a 2-pack or 3-pack spreads them out.
- Join Free Shipping Max only when it pays. The badge brings more orders but costs a percentage of every sale — compare profit with and without it.
- Reduce returns. Clear photos, exact sizes and honest titles cut return costs. Our listing generator and product photo maker help with both.
Read your Daraz statement
Every deduction in the calculator appears as a line in Seller Center → Finance → Account Statement: commission, payment fee, handling fee, VAT on fees, withholding tax, shipping and campaign fees. If your statement shows a different commission, update the rate with “Other / custom rate” — Daraz sets rates for very detailed sub-categories.
