Convert SVG to high-resolution PNG
SVG files are vectors, so they stay sharp at any size — but many apps, social networks and documents need a normal image. This SVG to PNG converter renders your SVG at exactly the size you choose and keeps the background transparent, so logos and icons look crisp everywhere.
How to convert SVG to PNG
- Drop your .svg files (or paste SVG code).
- Choose a width in pixels, a scale (2× for retina screens) or a print size with DPI.
- Keep the background transparent or pick a colour.
- Download PNG files or a ZIP.
What size should my PNG be?
| Use | Suggested size |
|---|---|
| Website logo | 2× the displayed width (e.g. 400 px for a 200 px logo) |
| App icon | 1024 × 1024 |
| Favicon | 512 × 512, then convert to ICO |
| Print width in inches × 300 DPI | |
| Social media profile | 800 × 800 or larger |
Tips
- Fonts in an SVG must be converted to outlines or installed on your device, or the text may change.
- External images linked inside an SVG may not load — embed them first.
- Need JPG, WebP or ICO instead? Use the image converter.
Why convert SVG to PNG?
SVG is a vector format — perfect for logos because it stays sharp at any size. But social media, Word, WhatsApp, many marketplaces and email signatures need a normal image such as PNG.
Choose the output size
An SVG has no fixed resolution, so you choose how many pixels the PNG should have. Small icons are drawn at a higher resolution by default so they look sharp — a 200 × 200 icon becomes an 800 × 800 PNG. Pick a larger size for print or a smaller one for the web.
Keep the background transparent
PNG keeps the SVG’s transparent background, so your logo can sit on any colour. If you need a solid background (for example for JPG), choose white or a brand colour.
If the PNG looks different
- Missing fonts: text in an SVG uses fonts installed on your device. Convert text to outlines in your design app before exporting the SVG.
- External images: images linked from other websites inside the SVG may not load — embed them instead.
- Very complex files: large illustrations can take a moment to draw.
