Merge PDF files into one document
This free merge PDF tool combines any number of PDF files — and photos or scans — into a single PDF. Unlike simple mergers, it shows every page as a thumbnail so you can drag single pages into the right order, rotate sideways scans, delete blank pages and keep only the page ranges you need.
How to combine PDFs
- Drop your PDFs and images.
- Drag files or individual pages into order; rotate or delete pages.
- Optional: add page numbers, bookmarks for each file, or blank pages for double-sided printing.
- Click merge and download one PDF.
Popular uses
- Job and visa applications — CV, certificates and ID scans in one file.
- Invoices and receipts — a whole month in one PDF for your accountant.
- Reports — combine chapters or appendices from different people.
- Phone photos of documents turned into a single PDF.
Bookmarks and page numbers
Turn on bookmarks and each original file becomes a clickable bookmark in the PDF sidebar. Page numbers are added to the bottom of every page — useful for court bundles, theses and printed reports.
Is the merged PDF too large to email? Use the PDF compressor. Need to turn a page into an image or Word? Use the PDF converter.
Combine files in the right order
- Drop your PDFs — and images too (JPG, PNG); each image becomes a page.
- Put the files in order — sort A→Z or reverse the order with one click.
- Switch to All pages to move, rotate (↻) or remove (✕) single pages.
- Press Merge and download one PDF.
Example
A 2-page and a 3-page PDF merged into a single 5-page document in the order chosen, with the original text kept.
Common jobs
- CV + cover letter + certificates into one application file.
- Scanned ID front and back into one PDF.
- Monthly invoices or receipts into one file for the accountant.
- Chapters or reports from different people into one document.
Tips
- Name files with numbers (01-cv.pdf, 02-letter.pdf) and use A→Z sorting.
- Rotate sideways scans in the page view before merging.
- If the merged file is too big, run it through the PDF compressor.
Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first. Everything happens in your browser — your files are not uploaded.
