Fiverr Fees 2026: How Much Fiverr Takes and What You Really Keep

Fiverr is one of the easiest places to start freelancing — but the price on your gig is not what reaches your bank account. Here is every fee between a $100 order and the money in your pocket, and how to price gigs so you still earn what you need.
The seller fee: 20%
Fiverr keeps 20% of every order: the gig price, gig extras and even tips. There are no lower rates for higher levels. On a $100 order you earn $80.
| Order | Fiverr fee (20%) | You earn |
|---|---|---|
| $10 gig | $2 | $8 |
| $50 gig | $10 | $40 |
| $100 gig + $20 extras + $10 tip | $26 | $104 |
| $500 project | $100 | $400 |
Buyer fees (not your cost)
Buyers pay a separate service fee on top of your price — about 5.5%, plus a small-order fee on small orders. It doesn’t reduce your earnings, but it makes your gig more expensive for the buyer, which matters when you compare prices with competitors.
Clearance: when you can withdraw
After an order is completed, Fiverr holds the money for a clearance period — usually 14 days, and typically 7 days for Top Rated, Seller Plus Premium and Pro sellers. Plan your cash flow around it: money from an order finished today is usually available in two weeks.
Withdrawal methods
| Method | Fiverr fee |
|---|---|
| PayPal | No Fiverr fee (PayPal’s own fees and rate may apply) |
| Payoneer account | About $3 per withdrawal |
| Local bank transfer via Payoneer | About $1 per withdrawal |
| Bank wire | About $3 per withdrawal |
Availability and fees differ by country and change from time to time — check the withdrawal page in your Fiverr account.
The hidden cost: currency conversion
If you live in Pakistan, India or Bangladesh, your dollars are converted to local currency somewhere — by Payoneer, PayPal or your bank. That exchange rate is usually 1–4% worse than the real rate. On $1,000 a month, a 2% margin is $20 a month. Compare providers on the amount that actually arrives with the exchange margin calculator.
Full example: a $100 gig to rupees
- Gig price: $100 → after 20%: $80
- Withdraw to a local bank via Payoneer: −$1 → $79
- Converted at a rate 1.5% below the real rate of Rs 277: about Rs 21,550 instead of Rs 21,880
So a “$100 gig” puts about 78% of its value in your local account.
How to price your gigs
Work backwards from what you want to keep: gig price = amount you want ÷ 0.8. To keep $40, price at $50; to keep $80, price at $100. Then add a little for withdrawal and conversion. Use the Fiverr fee calculator in “I want to receive exactly…” mode, and set your minimum hourly rate with the freelance rate calculator.
Tips to keep more
- Sell gig extras and packages — one bigger order beats several small ones.
- Withdraw less often in bigger amounts to cut fixed withdrawal fees.
- Move long-term clients to direct contracts only where Fiverr’s terms allow it — never break the platform rules.
Fee figures come from public 2026 sources and Fiverr’s published terms at the time of writing; Fiverr can change fees and they differ by country. Check your Fiverr account for current numbers.
