Local pickup: no fee
When the buyer collects the item and pays you directly (cash or a payment app), Facebook charges nothing. Listing is free too.
Shipped orders: 10% selling fee (US)
When an item is bought and shipped through Facebook checkout in the US, Facebook keeps a selling fee of 10% per order, with a minimum of $0.80 for orders of $8 or less. The fee includes payment processing, so there is no separate card fee.

The real cost: fee + shipping + item
Example: you bought a jacket for $15 and sell it for $45 with shipping. Fee 10% = $4.50, label $8 → profit = 45 − 4.50 − 8 − 15 = $17.50. How to keep more of each sale
- Sell big or heavy items locally — no fee and no shipping.
- Avoid shipping items under $8: the $0.80 minimum is 10–80% of the price. Bundle them.
- Price for the fee: to receive $45 after a 10% fee, list at $45 ÷ 0.9 = $50.
